The Sustainable Development Council guides our efforts in all areas of environmental stewardship. Formed in 1992 with representatives from across the company, the council's results since then have been impressive.
Under the council's supervision, ConAgra Foods has recycled countless tons of wastepaper and conserved billions of gallons of water. It has curbed energy consumption, eliminated wasteful product packaging, protected agricultural land, and enhanced wildlife habitats. It also judges ConAgra Foods' annual Environmental Awards.
To date, thousands of ConAgra Foods employees around the world have contributed to our environmental initiatives, and their continual cooperation and inspiring solutions, along with leadership from the council, raise expectations for an even better tomorrow.
